Biography

Owen Bennett is a Senior Counsel in the firm’s Regulatory & Compliance Defense group who joined Whitfield & Crane from the Securities and Exchange Commission. He focuses on SEC and DOJ defense and anti-fraud program design. coordinated local counsel across more than 20 countries.

He advises clients across the United States, the United Kingdom and Singapore and works with the firm’s investigators and forensic accountants to move from first report to first freeze as quickly as the facts allow. He is admitted in New York and regularly coordinates matters with local counsel worldwide.

Owen is a graduate of University of Southern California Gould School of Law and University of Chicago, where he served on the law review. He writes and speaks frequently on fraud trends and is a member of the firm’s 24-hour incident-response desk.
