Biography
Samuel Porter is a Partner in the firm’s Business Email Compromise & Wire Fraud group who joined Whitfield & Crane from the Securities and Exchange Commission. He focuses on 48-hour wire recalls, freezes and banking liability claims. led complex tracing investigations across borders.
He advises clients across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East and works with the firm’s investigators and forensic accountants to move from first report to first freeze as quickly as the facts allow. He is admitted in New York and regularly coordinates matters with local counsel worldwide.
Samuel is a graduate of University of Virginia School of Law and Harvard University, where he served on the law review. He writes and speaks frequently on fraud trends and is a member of the firm’s 24-hour incident-response desk.
