Thomas is a former enforcement attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He defends banks, fintechs, exchanges and payment companies in fraud-related investigations and enforcement actions — and helps them design compliance programs that prevent fraud before regulators come calling.

His practice sits at the intersection of prevention and defense: the same expertise that builds a fraud-resilient program is what he uses to defend one under scrutiny.

Thomas serves on the advisory board of the Center for Anti-Fraud Compliance and is a frequent speaker at fintech compliance conferences.
