Whitfield & Crane Recovers $47 Million Traced Through 19 Shell Companies in Seven Countries
Press Release
In one of the most complex tracing matters in the firm’s history, Whitfield & Crane recovered $47 million that had been layered through 19 shell companies across seven countries and ultimately converted into digital assets.
The firm’s investigators reconstructed the full ownership chain of the shell network, coordinated freezing orders in four jurisdictions, and negotiated the return of the assets within eight months.
“Scammers call money ‘unrecoverable’ when it has been moved enough times. We call that Tuesday,” said James Crane.
