Former FBI Cyber Division Agent Robert Tanaka Joins Whitfield & Crane

Whitfield & Crane announced today that Robert Tanaka, a former Special Agent with the FBI Cyber Division, has joined the firm as a partner in its Cybercrime & Ransomware Response practice.
During his decade at the Bureau, Mr. Tanaka worked extortion, ransomware and cryptocurrency money-laundering investigations, including several of the largest cyber-fraud prosecutions in recent years.
“Victims of cyber fraud need a lawyer who has seen how these attacks actually work — from the inside out,” said Mr. Tanaka. “Whitfield & Crane built the practice I wanted to join.”
